3 Tips for Holiday Digital Marketing Ideas

Team of young professionals next to Christmas tree talk about Holiday digital marketing ideas

It is pretty hard to believe, but we are right back into the thick of the holiday season at this time. It is upon us, and it is best to think about how we can prepare our digital marketing plan of attack for this incredibly important time of year. Today, we want to take a deep look at some of the best holiday digital marketing ideas that you can put in play for the 2024/2025 holiday season.

Start the Campaign Early

It is easy to push things off and let things slide until you suddenly have to scramble to put it all back together. The problem with this is that when you leave things until the last minute, you are leaving yourself at risk of not capturing a significant chunk of the consumer base at all. It turns out that roughly half of all shoppers say that they plan their holiday shopping prior to Halloween. Those people are ahead of the curve, but their spending dollars count just the same as everyone else, and you need to ensure that you are serving their needs and interests just the same as every other shopper.

Provide Gift Suggestions

One of the stumbling blocks for many would-be shoppers is the fact that they simply don’t know what to purchase as a gift for their loved ones. They need some help in the form of gift suggestions to start to make their purchases. With this in mind, you should consider offering gift suggestions in your advertising that push them toward purchasing some of the items you have for sale. You can do so in many ways, including:

  • Written Articles – You can write complete articles or blog posts about the types of gifts that make the most sense for various demographics. You should highlight the types of gifts that generate the biggest profit margins for you when possible.
  • Bundle Like Gifts – You can also bundle together certain items that tend to go well together. You might even choose to offer some discounts on those bundles because a consumer is purchasing multiple items from you all at the same time. Whatever you choose to do about that, you should make sure the items that you put together make sense as a great gift idea so that people are tempted to purchase them all at the same time.

These are two ways that you can use the power of suggestion to encourage consumers to purchase from you early and often.

Make Your Marketing Holiday-Specific

People are excited to be getting into the holiday mood, and you should embrace the feelings that they have about this. Try to get your marketing into the holiday spirit by making the materials that you put out there related to the various holidays that are coming up. You can throw out little holiday puns, make sure the color scheme is related to colors associated with the holidays, and even offer special discounts on and around those special days.

It is always nice for customers to see that they can get special deals around the days that mean so much to them. Not only that, but they might apply some of those discounts to get gifts for their loved ones as well. Keep that in mind when putting out advertisements during this time of the year.

There is a lot of work to do to get ready for the busy holiday season. Make sure you take at least a few moments to get your marketing plan in order. For more tips and tricks about how to make the most of your efforts during this critical season, reach out and contact us today.
